В статье дается обзор продолжавшихся более трех десятилетий попыток А. И. Китова доказать руководству страны необходимость создания в СССР автоматизированной системы управления социалистической экономикой. Они включали не только уже известные обращения к руководителям КПСС, но также две попытки опубликовать в период перестройки статьи в журнале «Коммунист». Приводится также интересный исторический документ - написанное А. И. Китовым решение состоявшейся в октябре 1989 г. в Пензе научной конференции «Роль человеческого фактора и современных ЭВМ в совершенствовании управления предприятиями», ставшее его последним публичным высказыванием на тему управления экономикой.

The article offers a review of three decades of efforts by A. I. Kitov to prove to the country leadership the necessity to set up in the USSR the automated system of managing socialist economy. They included not only the well-known addresses to Communist Party leaders but also two attempts to publish his articles in the 'Kommunist' journal during the years of restructuring. The author offers an interesting historic document, a resolution written by A. I. Kitov of the Conference which took place in Penza in October 1989 'The Role of Human Factor and Modern Computers in Enhancing Enterprise Management'. This document was his last public speech dedicated to economy management.
