Specific Features of Pursuing Competitive Policy in Russian Regions in Conditions of High Political and Economic Risk

Abstract

Competitive policy in Russian regions is an important problem in resolving current challenges of economic growth that are caused by geopolitical risks, increasing sanctions and general intensification of environment uncertainty. The Government takes steps aimed at development of competition and elaboration of competitive policy strategy based on inter-sectoral and regional cooperation. However, the problem of balance between measures of support for small and medium business, shaping competitive environment and control on the part of the state has not been settled. The goal of the research is to work out a set of steps aimed at supporting competition on the basis of analyzing real practices for competitive policy pursuing in Russian regions in conditions of high uncertainty caused by political and economic risks with regard to territorial specificity and new external challenges.
