The Role of Science in Innovation Development and Providing Economic Security of Countries

Abstract
The principle value of science is that it identifies trajectory of civilization development, including social one, as it is a social institution. Its paramount task is to take humanity to a higher stage of development. The goal of the research is to trace the way scientific activities affect the development of the country, society, all spheres of life and quality of the scientist personality. The authors showed how opportunities to implement academic innovation can influence the level of mankind development and highlighted potential risks connected with this process. The research used methods of forecasting and summarizing, comparison and analogues, classification and experts’ appraisals, as well as information and analytical materials based on opinions of recognized academic authorities. The article used the practical-oriented approach to studying innovation and social role of science. Trends of state policy and academic investigations were analyzed, as well as advanced technologies of introducing scientific achievements in today’s life.
