Abstract
Topicality of analyzing ESG-risks is directly connected with the rising criticality of factors of sustainable development for business success. Today’s organizations have to integrate responsible attitude to ecologic challenges, follow principles of social responsibility and introduce effective corporate practices in order to comply with critical expectations of society, regulators and investors. The author showed that integration of ESG-factors can cause not only the loss of competitive advantages but also a cut in customer confidence, serious reputational risks and restriction of access to capital markets. ESG-risks have transformed into a key element of strategic planning at present day companies that need sustainable development as a basis of long-term competitiveness in conditions of global transformations. However, introduction of ESG-initiatives will require systemic approach, long-term planning and involvement of all concerned parties. It is important to take into account the fact that successful management of ESG-risks is possible only in case of continuous monitoring, analysis and adaptation of strategy to changing conditions of market. Serious attention should be paid to personnel training, elaboration of in-company policy and introduction of tools of automated accounting of ESG-indicators.
