ESTIMATING RETURN OF HUMAN CAPITAL IN THE SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

Human capital is an important resource of any university. Efficiency and quality of educational institutions' work depend directly on quantitative and qualitative indicators of intellectual and human capital of workers. Today the focus in organizing business processes is shifting from managing labour resources of the organization to managing costs and risks of the human capital. Thus investment in the development of university personnel should be considered as investment playing an important role in the process of increasing human capital of society. The article investigates factors of shaping human capital, the model of the human capital return, estimates efficiency of managerial decisions based on the metric approach and provides findings of the research of human capital of the Russian Plekhanov University of Economics faculty.
